Gavin was a fitness trainer to many actors like Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan.

Brother Daryl Packard also lives in India.

When he passed away, at least 200 people attended his funeral. But nobody from film industry turned up. He is buried at St. Andrews Church, Bandra.

In 2010, when he met with an accident at Kalyan market, he broke his leg and was rushed to Sion hospital. He accused the film industry for not helping him.

Father-in-law to Bollywood actor Siddhanth Kapoor (Shakti Kapoor's son).
