MaXXXine Ending Explained
Image
MaXXXine's ending explained one of the central themes of the entire X trilogy, and highlights how it can (potentially) be the key to personal growth and success. MaXXXine is the third entry in the Ti West written/directed horror series. MaXXXine brings back Mia Goth's Maxine Minx, the only survivor of X. Now living in Los Angeles in 1985, Maxine's attempts to break into a film career are threatened by a mysterious private investigator, a pair of detectives, and a mysterious killer all seemingly caught in her orbit.

By the end of MaXXXine's grisly story, the film has racked up a solid number of bodies and uncovered some grisly mysteries. However, it's ultimately a happy if quietly ambiguous ending that could quietly even set the stage for the series to continue with a fourth film that further delves into Maxine's fate. Here's how the ending of MaXXXine connects to the...

15 Things WCW Did Better Than WWE
Image
The story of World Championship Wrestling is one of an amazing rise but then a tragic fall that was hard to watch. While the American wrestling promotion spent much of its early days as second best, WCW figured itself out at a time when the World Wrestling Federation was destroying itself in the ’90s. WCW rose up and became what seemed like an unstoppable force before tripping on its own success while WWF recovered from its mistakes and regained traction. Having lost all that momentum, WCW did itself no favors by spending the next several years making every single bad decision possible. They absolutely could not get a win if they tried.

Now the dead promotion is considered a cautionary tale and a pile-on for jokes about the Shockmaster, David Arquette, the Fingerpoke of Doom, Hulk Hogan being humped by a giant mummy, the fumbling of Steve Austin, Judy Bagwell on a forklift,...

How Much of "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" Actually Happened?
Image
Netflix has produced its fair share of true-crime dramas throughout the years, but nothing has been quite as chilling as "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story," which documents the life of the infamous serial killer through intimate vignettes of his troubling life. The 10-episode series, starring Evan Peters, gives viewers a sense of what it was like for Dahmer's family, his victims, and even his neighbors - Glenda Cleveland and Pamela Bass - to watch as his grueling crimes unfolded.

While the show has garnered controversy for glorifying Dahmer's crimes and exploiting the trauma his victims endured, as of Sept. 27, the show is currently Netflix's most-watched title, amassing more than 196 million viewing hours in the past week, per CNN. The hype behind "Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" aligns with the actual hysteria that possessed Americans when Dahmer's story was first revealed.

But how much of the show is rooted in fact?...

8 ‘Forgotten’ WWE Royal Rumble Moments
The Royal Rumble comes but once a year, and every year WWE does a great job promoting of heightening meaning to the event with past Royal Rumble moments. But every year it’s the same moments that get all the spotlight.

We’ve decided to put together a list of some of the Rumble moments that aren’t talked about as much as they should be. Some that are the very essence of what makes it unique, some that are memorable for all the wrong reasons. Either way, moments that WWE doesn’t really mention that often when recapping the Royal Rumble matches of previous years.

Ernest Miller dances to the Rumble – WWE Royal Rumble 2004

Sometimes when the action is coming thick and fast, the competitors need a little bit of down time. After all you could be in there for more than 60 minutes if you’re doing well.

WWE Raw Review 9/01/12 – Kane Lays Out Cena & Ryder in Parking Lot
The Big News: Kane laid out both Ryder and Cena in a parking lot after teasing backstage attacks on Ryder throughout the show. Meanwhile Cm Punk defeated Jack Swagger in controversial circumstances and Chris Jericho gave everyone the silent treatment again when he appeared to break down in tears following an overwhelming reception.

In a Nutshell: WWE take ‘See No Evil’ on tour but unfortunately the results are no scarier than the movie.

Kane came out to start the show. He talked about how all the fans live miserable lives but refuse to embrace the hate inside of them and instead aspire to be someone like their hero John Cena even though this is an unattainable goal. He then continued with a confusing line about how all the fans who chant Cena sucks are actually saying they suck themselves because they are envious of the success that Cena but still...

The Wrestler - DVD Review
Much was made of Mickey Rourke.s comeback picture, The Wrestler. I.m going to make some more, as it is an excellent film, but Mickey.s comeback really started with Sin City just to set the record straight. Let.s hope that he can keep up the streak and get pinned to the mat. Robin Ramzinski (Mickey Rourke) would rather you not know that.s his real name. He.s known as Randy .The Ram. Robinson and was a professional wrestler back in the 1980s. He had action figures and even a video game devoted to his ring persona. He had an ongoing feud with the character the Ayatollah (Ernest Miller) and it was played out as patriotic theater and even sold out...

Another Hi Resolution pic of Marisa Tomei from Wrestler
The Wrestler is an upcoming film directed by Darren Aronofsky. The film stars Mickey Rouke who plays an out of shape Wrestler. He is forced to retire after a heart attack threatens to kill him the next he wrestles. He begins to form a relationship with an aging stripper and does his best to reconcile with his estranged daughter. However he is drawn to the prospect of a rematch with his old wrestling nemesis the Ayatollah played by Ernest Miller, even though the fight may cost him his life.

Marisa Tomei has been getting a lot of hits on this site. So I thought I will add another hi res picture and some pictures from her recent premier party at Venice.

The Wrestler Wins Big at Venice
A film about a wrestler on the brink of career meltdown has been awarded the Golden Lion at this year’s Venice Film Festival.

Directed by “Requiem For A Dream” helmer Darren Aranofsky, “The Wrestler” stars Mickey Rourke (who replaced Nicolas Cage in the role) and co-stars Evan Rachel Wood and Ernest Miller.

Rourke plays “Ram” Robinson, a wrestler forced to retire to a life of benign normality after a heart attack threatens to kill him next time he enters the ring. However he’s soon goaded back to the big world of punches to take down his old nemesis.

The Wrestler has yet to be picked up by a worldwide distributor but it is expected to find a late 2008 release. It’s also now being tipped for Oscar success, although this year’s Venice has been widely criticised for a “weak” selection of films competing in the main category.
