Frederick Ernest Morrison

The first black child movie star.

One of the original "Our Gang" child actors. He was also a regular in the "East Side Kids"/"Dead End Kids" series.

Led the standing ovation for his discoverer, former boss and old friend, pioneer film producer Hal Roach, when the latter received a Lifetime Achievement Oscar at the 1984 Academy Awards.

Brother of Florence Morrison, Dorothy Morrison, Vera Morrison and Ethel Morrison.

I was the first black movie personality to be featured in fan magazines and the first black to be a millionaire because of the movies. My family is close and very loving with each other. I have good health and I drive a Continental Mark IV. I fall asleep every night of my life counting my many, many blessings.
