For 17 years, Raffi has been spiraling, throwing his life away. Drifting in and out of clinics, addicted not just to drugs but rehab itself. It's as if he's hooked on the emotional rollercoaster, relapsing time and time again. His habit of cruelly mocking other addicts finally gets him kicked out, leaving him no choice but to pack his bags and face the real world again. Desperate, Raffi takes refuge in the apartment of his last remaining friend, Trino, who-despite knowing Raffi's sharp tongue and toxic tendencies-offers him a place to stay. In an effort to keep Raffi motivated and sober, Trino reveals that Inés, Raffi's high school crush, is now divorced. Though Raffi can't imagine a world where Inés would ever take him seriously, Trino urges him to get a job and turn himself into someone worthy of her attention. Each day is a battle for Raffi-not just against his addictions, but against himself. The thought of leading an ordinary life terrifies him more than anything else in the world.
