In a small village under the snow, a seven-year-old boy mysteriously disappears during a storm while he is with Margo. He is never found. Twenty years later, another boy goes missing. He is a student at the school where Margo now teaches. During the search, she meets David, a stranger who is helping the police find the missing child. The connection between them grows stronger as the days go by, and she begins to feel that David might be her friend who disappeared two decades ago.
