In 1919 South America, a landowner's wife is desperate for a child of her own, having suffered through multiple miscarriages. She finds hope, however, in a seemingly outlandish plan: She'll pray to a mythical deity to resurrect her stillborn son. The plan works, but with the child comes something else, something evil.

This web series is made up of several stories that have as a common thread the story of Sergio, who as a child listens to the oral stories of his father Víctor and when he grows up expresses the same narrative vocation by becoming a writer but working to live as a journalist on the triple frontier Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Each chapter tells a particular story that sometimes borders on magical realism and other times they are everyday events where the beauty of simplicity is enhanced. These stories, which were told to Sergio, are narrated or lived in some way by him or it is some news that he has to cover. Throughout the series the figure of the writer-journalist is present, the inspiration and a common in the red earth that are the stories told by word of mouth and the desire of a writer to make them eternal on paper. It is divided into chapters intertwined by the experience or narrative of the writer, which connects one story with the next developed in 4 chapters, plus a prelude, interlude and an epilogue. Intense characters give life and star in each chapter, in which we will see stories of: a lineman who feeds on birds, Gauchito Gil and a rural laborer who despairs because of the absence of his dog, a journalist looking for time to write stories of love and questions about freedom, family comedy dramas, funerals, an urú, drunkards and more birds, canteen conversations and work in the yerbal - All of them immersed in the events of their daily lives on the stage of the red earth.

Sergio in front of the fire tries to write, he remembers when he was 6 years old and tried to revive a little bird that apparently was dead. After wandering around for a while, with the bird in his hands, he comes across a lineman who promises to cure the bird.

Sergio remembers when he was little and his father told him about the story of Ismael, a rural laborer who worked in the yerba mate harvest. One day, Ismael realized the absence of his dog Toribio who accompanied him 9 years ago. Days passed, the dog did not appear and Ismael was plunged into misery. Sergio, in the present, writes that story that narrates the pain that stalks Ismael represented as a rabid dog.

Ismael's search and wait are eternal. Years go by and Ismael stops working on herbs, he clings more to alcohol. He travels to the city to look for Toribio and there he stays; Over time he is one more drunk than he roams the city gathering things in his bags, eating little birds and looking for his dog. Sergio writes a story in which Ismael promises Gauchito Gil that if he returns Toribio he will build sanctuaries everywhere. Will the Gauchito comply?

We walk through Sergio's daily life, his relationship with literature, journalism, his father and his partner Lupe. In the middle, a message from his mother breaks with the everyday and announces the unexpected.

Sergio's father has just died and his ashes are deposited in an expensive silver urn. Julia instructs her son to try to sell the farm, where her father spent the last years of her life. Sergio goes to the place, where he had never been. Once there he meets Norma, who keeps secrets about Víctor, Sergio's father.

Sergio listens in a village canteen, from the mouth of the countryman Anselmo, the story of Oscar "Mencho" Gómez, better known as El Urú, who from childhood was a rural laborer and later, a worker in the yerba mate dryer, dedicating himself to the hard office of Urú. El Mencho survives in a world of difficult relationships, where outrage is the order of the day. On one occasion, Gringo Zsokalski, owner of the drying room, insults him and thus begins a dispute with a terrible ending.

We go through the environments that were part of the stories. Sergio remembers when as a child he listened to stories about his father while he ate that fruit, which today he seeks without success. Until the unexpected knocks on his door and allows the legacy of the word to continue.
