- This short film occurs entirely underwater. There is no dialogue, only first-person narration. A man is employed cleaning a public swimming pool, at the bottom of which he lives full-time, wearing antique diving gear. He wears weighted boots that clang loudly on the pool floor, accompanied by an intense electronic soundtrack. As the diver goes through the motions of his cleaning job, the narration details his opinions about life, including that for men, "a good job is the key to a life in balance" but not for women, since they can give birth. He believes that because men cannot express themselves by giving birth, only men are able to express themselves artistically, and that "men create, women reproduce". The narrator claims to have done much introspection and discovered that "man is not intellect alone, he is also love." He expresses a need to fill the emptiness inside himself. While we see the diver holding the leash of a dog who struggles to stay afloat at the top of the pool, the narration says he thought about getting a pet, but his surroundings discouraged him. The narrator then says that of all the days in the week he prefers Friday, 11:45, because it is "her time", and explains his growing sexual obsession with a swimmer in the pool over a period of weeks. Eventually, this culminates in the diver's overwhelming need to "declare [his] love for her". As she swims overhead, he grabs her and attempts to pull her underwater while she screams for help. The narration says it took him three attempts, "using subtle strategies". We see him continue to attempt to drown her, until he succeeds and pulls her to the bottom of the pool. He speaks in romantic language the entire time, as though unaware of the situation. The diver chains her body to a bed and sits next to it stroking her hand, and the narration says he is "so happy [he] can hardly breathe".
- Three twenty-something male friends in a non-descript Norwegian city seeking happiness. The three are different: One is gay just coming out, another is a "liberated heterosexual" looking for love (in all the wrong places), and the third a manic depressive who alternates between mental wards and a yuppy existence.
