After his reign of terror in The Dark Knight, the criminal mastermind known as the Joker is now locked up in Arkham Asylum where he continues to wreak havoc as he slowly becomes a threat much greater than anyone expected.

The Joker, now at Arkham Asylum and designated as Patient #4479, begins his therapy with Dr. Harleen Quinzel.

After the chaotic events of Series 1, the Joker is now being kept in maximum security. Prior to the Arkham board meeting, Lex Luthor, now the owner of the asylum, is pursued by Summer Gleason and Jack Ryder for an interview for GCN. Meanwhile Jeremiah Arkham, with the aid of Lock-Up and Scarecrow puts the asylum on lockdown in an effort to take back what is rightfully his. While this going on, Ted also arrives to help free the Joker before the chaos begins.
