This film is a camera inside of us that evokes what viewers may have tried to forget.

Park In-sun has become an orphan during the Korean War, and has been sold as a prostitute for the US soldiers. She has been living in a village next to the US military base for more than 40 years. Never given the chance to learn how to read and write, In-sun has been drawing pictures on waste paper all her life, chronicling her painful and mysterious world of traumas. On a winter night, she finds out that her colleague has passed away and follows her silent funeral. The Death Messengers show up and spot In-sun. When they make up stories for their targets to lead them to afterlife, In-sun refuses to give in and creates her own story. The desire of fiction resides in resistance, and not staying as a victim.

Following the previous projects since (2003), (2008) is the fourth omnibus project describing the theme of human rights. The fourth project is comprised of five short films made by five directors.

A rural area full of farmlands is where they have to live now. While the film captures their everyday rural lives for a year, it reveals how their lives continue to change. They struggle to make themselves at home as women in a strange place while farming and acting as members of its peasant community. The rural life is different from what they have expected but they continue to overcome the hardships. Their efforts on the screen make viewers realize what it is like to live as a person or a woman in a rural society.

Director AHN Jeehwan's documentary At the Peak of Our Own Story recounts the story of the MAM, Monday Artist Mountain club, established by actor Son Byung-ho in 2006. The club has continued its ascent of Mt. Bukhan every Monday since then. Its core members are actors with significant theatre experience but relatively little exposure in broadcasting or film. The film highlights the stories of actors who have found solace in the club. One actor expresses how the club provides him with a sense of belonging amid the transient lifestyle of an actor. Another actor recalls how being a part of the club helps him reconnect with his identity as an actor. The documentary depicts the actors' deep struggles, such as the conflicts after the decision to pursue an acting career later in life or the circumstances in which the actor had to take a break from acting after suffering the recent loss of his mother. The film also portrays mountains as a source of great comfort for actors, who may seem glamorous but suffer from loneliness and isolation. This is a film that can motivate viewers, even those who aren't interested in hiking, to consider mountain climbing. (MOON Seok)
