Tibetan artists are using song and music to show their resistance to the communist Chinese occupation of their country. However, their work is considered 'splitist' and many have been sentenced to long term imprisonment. Artists in exile show their support by singing the forbidden songs in free countries.
A nomadic girl in eastern Tibet in early 50's joined the resistance and before she knew what happened the invading communist Chinese imperialist imprisoned her. She served 27 years jail and finally managed to escape Tibet in 1987. Rest of her life she shared her experiences with the world.
A robust Tibetan exile community activists, intellectuals and experts debate where the future of Tibet's struggle can shift after the Dalai Lama is no more to guide the small community. In his many achievement as a world leader the Dalai Lama's greatest success has been in holding the Tibetan struggle as a peaceful movement from the early 70's. There was a resistance force from early 50's to 70's, but is it possible that this hidden side of the peaceful Tibetans may return after the Dalai Lama is no more. China could face a never ending war in many fronts including Tibet in times to come.

The film has been in the making for over two decades. Most of the interviewees that are witnesses to events of March 10, 1959 uprising are no more. Their experiences are archival material. Some were directly responsible for the successful escape of the Dalai Lama.
