Stockbroker Nicholas and widow Cynthia meet on flight to Hawaii. For different reasons, they're both threatened by incriminating circumstances. To avoid further complications they turn to each other for help.

Linda Prentiss joins a burlesque troupe to get information for a novel she is writing without her husband, Roger Prentiss, knowing about it. Not knowing who he is, she meets her husband's boss, Sam Thompson, while on a night-clubbing tour with the show's burlesque queen Margie LaVitte. Later, the boss takes a client and Roger to the burlesque show, and Roger is stunned to see his wife as one of the stars.
