Lorrie Crump and Jack Pinchley have a very unsteady relationship. After breaking up, Jack finds new ways to show Lorrie he really loves her. So one day, Jack shows up at Lorrie's house knocking on the door. He offers her candy but Lorrie refuses. She is still mad at Jack. Lorrie claims she doesn't like candy so Jack gets a bit sad but continues. Then he offers her to her favorite restaurant but turns out it had recently closed. Jack offers and offers but Lorrie says no. Soon Lorrie reveals her worries. Lorrie admits she is going on a date with someone. She doesn't say at first, claiming that Jack probably didn't know who she was talking about. But Jack insists she knows everyone. Soon Lorrie tells him and Jack asks why he even asked Lorrie out in the first place. Lorrie explains that she was sitting with a friend in the grotto and the guy came up to her and asked her out. Jack is outraged and begins to explain his plan to crush this dude. His name is Melvin and Lorrie said he was very hard to say no to. Jack overestimates himself and plans out everything. Lorrie begins to protest but Jack stops her and continues with his long plan. Once Lorrie leaves the room shaking her head, Jack prepares himself. Melvin was supposed to come in a few minutes and Jack didn't waste time preparing. The doorbell rings and Jack opens the door. To his surprise, Melvin was HUGE. Twice as tall as Jack, Melvin asks Jack to direct him to Lorrie, but Jak begins to stall. Eventually, she faces a fight with Melvin and wins his victory. Meanwhile, Lorrie is watching as her TRUE love faces one that isn't for her. Lorrie beams at Jack as he gets bumps and bruises. Once Melvin gives up on scratches and bruises and oral burns, he leaves. Lorrie comes out of her hiding spot and hugs Jack very tightly. She thanks him for all he did. While she mends his wounds, she apologizes to Jack, and they both smile. As they hug, Jack offers Lorrie a date and Lorrie says a big yes. Then she admits something. She finally admitted that she LOVES candy. especially the valentine candy that says I love you. Lorrie runs off and buys Jack some. Jack is amazed and they both eat the candy after telling me that they love each other. Jack says "Better Safe than Sorry" to Lorrie. He means that it is better to be safe from Melvin than sorry for him. Lorrie apologizes again and they both run off to the restaurant. Regaining Lorrie's trust, Jack finally shows Lorrie his love and admits she never really loved Melvin. Jack forgives her and the couple moves on with life, together with a strong relationship.
