Three wealthy young women, under pressure from their strict families, decide to move to the big city in search of new adventures. They arrive in São Paulo, each trying to find the best way to survive, and move into a tenement house where they meet some boys with whom they fall in love.

Berenice, his daughter from his first marriage, has an affair with Estela. Berenice wants to kill Estela's mother because she opposes their relationship so she convinces Romeo to help her with her plan. In the meantime, Cristina gets involved with Carlos Alberto, an engineer hired by Gomes.

Wealthy Silvia is married to unfaithful Alexandre. She catches her husband red-handed with a woman in a nightclub and Alexandre promises a new start for the couple. Silvia is upset and decides to fly in her airplane, but the weather is not suitable and she returns to her farm. She surprises Alexandre in a compromising position with her seventeen year-old sister. Silvia sends her husband away and puts her sister in a boarding school. Silvia meets Alexandre and sleeps with him. Out of the blue, she castrates her husband with a razor blade and chains him in the attic with an opening to her bedroom. Then Silvia brings every man and woman in the neighborhood to have sex with her and to excite her husband, who becomes desperate with his libido. In the end, she crashes her plane into the farmhouse.

The dwarf Jujuba becomes famous and powerful after an unsuccessful attempt of suicide. He receives many letters of sympathy from children and a TV network offers him a show for children. He hires an obscure writer to write his shows with a high salary, and gives him the nickname of "Escriba" (obs: meaning who writes). Jujuba is an abusive and mean boss, humiliating Escriba most of the time in various situations. Jujuba invites the stripper Patty to his wonderful house as if he were interested in hiring her with an expensive salary for his show, but actually with the only intention of having sex with her. When Patty steals the original of the fake contract, Jujuba tries to retrieve it, and Escriba has the chance of his revenge, leading to a fatal conclusion.

Bonga and three other good-hearted bums give shelter to homeless children and find adoptive parents for them. One day, a rich boy, tired of his parents' indifference, ask Bonga for shelter, saying he is homeless. From then on their lives change.

A woman enters into desperate mode when she sees the driver in front of her getting attacked by an armed man. She tries to move away with her car but keeps crashing it on the truck behind her. But the dramatic events escalates when the victim decides to act against the thief.
