Unscrupulously ambitious Brutus Jones escapes from jail after killing a guard and through bluff and bravado finds himself the emperor of a Caribbean island.

The bullet-riddled body of a big-time gambler is brought to the morgue in this tongue-in-cheek comedy. Out of the blue, a naive young waitress steps forward to claim the dead man's remains. Soon, she finds herself with three boyfriends: a mortician, a tough police officer and the murdered crook's business partner. Soon she's being taken on her "last ride" and she manages to even charm the gunman.

A hillbilly couple find themselves the center of national attention when the mother gives birth to sextuplets. The husband protects his wife and six boys from sightseers and reporters with his shotgun. Thanks to all the media attention, the mother's brother becomes a popular TV personality.

Effie's the owner of a dive diner who constantly reminisces about her late, great husband Rocco: a gangster sentenced to the chair. Danny's a small-time pickpocket from the old days she's kept on as cook. He's madly in love with Effie and wants to impress her by doing something big. Danny picks the keys off a dining bank truck guard so he can heist the vehicle and its loot once its filled with cash.

A man returns home after serving time for embezzling company funds he needed for a family emergency. When he discovers that the townspeople are unwilling to hire him, his wife recommends they move to her sister's where a job awaits him at his brother-in-law's firm.

Confined to a tuberculosis sanitarium, a man and woman meet and fall in love. The man is cured and leaves for a while but the woman proceeds to worsen. He returns to find her at death's door and uses his love to help her fight for life.

The How Do You Sell segment looks at ways of selling petrol. In The Pitch, two advertising agencies try to sell us synchronised swimming for young boys. The Ad of the Week is Listerine's response to a study that finds that mouth washes containing alcohol increase the risk of oral cancer.
