Careless lives of few Belgrade youths are shattered when Nazis occupy their town in 1941. Soon they join the resistance movement and their activities bring their names to Gestapo's termination list. This movie inspired the series that would get cult status in former Yugoslavia.

An elderly couple adopts a young orphan named Eli who looks very similar to their lost son. As they treat Eli just the way they did their former child, even dressing him in the same clothes, the revolted boy shows he has personality of his own as well.

A young man who lives and works in the big town, comes to his native village to visit his family. He meets his old love, who had finished school but can't find job. He spends his time with old friends in the bars. At the same time, one of his friends comes from Germany full of money and with new car. Relations between these people are disturbed. The main character fails to find the meaning of life, and commits suicide.

The second out of three TV versions of a sole one-act drama by Ivo Andric, written between 1914 and 1918.
