Vera lives solely on the problems of her family: her eternally ill husband Kostya and her fifteen-year-old son Romka. Arriving on an excursion to St. Petersburg, classmates Dana and Lyova witness the theft of the famous "Chizhik-Pyzhik". The brave schoolchildren, hiding from their teachers, rush to search for the thieves.

It's a story about two brothers who were divorced by fate and who, thanks to the same fate, will eventually meet and find the love of their mother and father.
