A dramatization of the behind-the-scenes story of the IMF negotiations that took place during the financial crisis in 1997, through three parallel stories.

A mother goes in search of her missing teenage daughter after her sudden disappearance. She is told that her daughter was last seen in the company of a girl in red, leading the mother to attempt to unravel the mystery behind the girl.

Born into a wealthy family, Xiao-wei lives a carefree life with his loving mother's care. He enjoys reading picture books written by his favorite author Kauff, especially those works about mermaids. One day, he accidentally takes the wrong bus, arrives at the seacoast and meets a beautiful mermaid, Blue. He believes Blue is the embodiment of the character in those picture books. Since then, Xiao-wei's "normal life," has become not "normal."

A widely-revered elder of an indigenous community in northeastern Taiwan, Hayung passes away in his sleep, leaving behind a family troubled with a land dispute and financial problems. His widow, two sons, and their loved ones must stick together to overcome whatever challenges lying ahead. Unplanned, one of Hayung's granddaughters gets pregnant with a baby boy, whom Hayung's widow decides to name after her late husband. What will become of Hayung's family through their struggles to finance a risky mayoral campaign, the stake of which is so high that Hayung's sons would resort to anything to win? What are the consequences of violating Ga Ga, the forgotten traditional tribal norms?

Three kids grew up in a secluded indigenous tribe in the mountains and the woods. They are all very optimistic, energetic and playful, but they are also troubled by their own family issues. The cast and crew return with more family love and laughs in the 2018 feature film Hua jia da ren zhuan nan hai (2018), directed by Yu-Ning Chu. Released during the Chinese New Year period, the film follows the post-military life of protagonist Hwa Jia, played by popular singer-songwriter Crowd Lu.

Three people hike up a mountain with different motives--Dumas is a lone hunter, Wan-de is a wood thief who must find a hidden object for his boss, and Shin-lan is his girlfriend and mountain patrol officer. They are joined by Patrick, a transvestite who tried to kill himself in the woods. Each must face his or her own ghosts--Dumas who lost a loving father, Patrick who had to fight his father all his life, Shin-lan who wants to break up, and Wan-de who doesn't. They all have a change of heart in this healing film set in the green forest that gets the viewer thinking about family bonds.
