An international team of climbers ascends Mt. Everest in the spring of 1996. The film depicts their lengthy preparations for the climb, their trek to the summit, and their successful return to Base Camp. It also shows many of the challenges the group faced, including avalanches, lack of oxygen, treacherous ice walls, and a deadly blizzard.

The series follows Cyril and Methodius, two Byzantine Greek brothers born in the 9th century. They became missionaries of Christianity and influenced the cultural development of the Great Moravian territory.

19-year-old Tasya lives with her mother in a small provincial town. Five years ago, Tasya's father died, and her mother Irina, a 40-year-old, pretty woman, trying to regain a reliable male shoulder, got along with Oleg. Despite his unwillingness to become a father, Irina gave birth to Vanechka. Vanya turns six months on the day Oleg leaves Irina. She is taken to the hospital with a heart attack.

Rich and spoiled Cyril Toropov concludes with his friends: he will charm and bring to the registrar five brides, but they will all throw him, then they find out that he is a beggar. This is what happens, but in the fifth bride, Nina, Toropov suddenly falls in love with him.
