A niece and her uncle, after a long time without speaking, reunite on the set of an action movie, with the niece as the director and the uncle as the producer. During the filming, old wounds resurface between them, they argue, the production money doesn't come through, and the filming is canceled. But in the end, they realize that saving their relationship is the chance they both have to give meaning to a life full of failures.

The Mrs., an old widow, and Aridia, her maid, live in isolation in a house in Santo Domingo where they have domestic chores to keep them occupied. Their relationship is tense, but as the end of the day, they know they only have each other.
