The movie inspired by real events tells the story of the KV-1 tank's crew heroic deed. Having a losing fight, the crew of Semyon Konovalov destroyed 16 enemy tanks, 2 armored vehicles and 8 vehicles with enemy personnel near Nizhnemityakin farm in Tarasovskoye district of Rostov region. This is the story of not the poster heroes, but broken, cheerful, and very diverse guys who just wanted to live. At the decisive moment they managed to do the only right thing and performed the deed worthy of the legend.

1947. Police captain Aleksandr Ratnikov investigates a series of murders in Leningrad. The trail leads to a technologist at a local fish farm, Pavel Vedernikov. It turns out that technologist Vedernikov is actually the former deputy head of the Nazi concentration camp for children "Grachi" named Gunther Zeiler. Skillfully posing as a Soviet citizen, Zeiler is hunting for his family's art collection, which disappeared during the war. The criminal is ready to walk over corpses, just to get what he wants and go abroad. Ratnikov intends to catch Zeiler at any cost: this Nazi is the only clue in the story of the captain's daughter, who disappeared during the war.

1979. The apartment of a famous ballerina was robbed in Moscow. The housekeeper was killed, the attackers fled. Investigator Anokhin offers his friend, journalist Eltsov, to help find the criminals. At the same time, there is a high-profile bank robbery in Yerevan, which is carried out by a specially released bugbear Machaon. At first glance, the two cases seem completely unrelated.
