KAnurag Kashyap has and always been a debatable figure in Indian cinema since Satya (1998). This 2 part movie showcases his brilliance of storytelling yet highlights his shortcoming of bigger than life movie picturesition which his plagued his audience. In a world of raj and DK, Lokesh kannangraj, vetrimaaran, Sandeep vanga Reddy and Aditya dhar, kashyap remains the last hope of late 90s action storytelling along with Neeraj Pandey and Sriram Raghvan. Although the movie impresses us with it's indie roots, it fails to reach its pinnacle because of the simple fact of not pushing it all the way. Kashyap the actor in rifle club Malayalam movie should learn to be unapologetic.
Watched: Nishaanchi Part One & Two
Yesterday I watched Nishaanchi Part One and Part Two.
Part One is basically a full setup-introducing who the characters are and what their temperaments feel like. But honestly, the film doesn't offer any big twists or turns. At times you end up wondering why you're even watching it. And yes, I'm talking specifically about Part One here.
But. But. But.
Then comes Nishaanchi Part Two-and that changes everything.
Every single thing that felt like a minus in Part One becomes a big plus in Part Two. From the very first frame to the last... Part Two is pure cinema. Pure time-pass. Pure payoff. Absolute blast.
After watching both parts, Part One does feel a little weak... but without it, Part Two wouldn't hit this hard, nor would it make this much sense. And honestly, that's exactly how Gangs of Wasseypur felt-Part 1 was good, but Part 2 was the real madness. Even today, whenever I can't decide what to watch or feel bored of the same genres, I revisit Wasseypur 2.
Nishaanchi Part Two gives that same revisit-worthy feeling.
I will definitely rewatch Nishaanchi 2 in the future.
Thanks, Anurag sir - you are an inspiration to all Indian creators.

I was underwhelmed by the first part, yet I still found myself returning for Nishaanchi 2. There was just enough of Anurag Kashyap's signature touch in Part 1 to keep me curious about where the story and characters would go next. In my earlier review, I had pointed out a host of issues-watching Part 2 felt almost as if someone had taken that list seriously and addressed most of them. Let me move past that fantasy and talk about the film itself.
The story picks up seamlessly and takes several unexpected turns. Every time I felt certain about the direction it was heading in, Kashyap shifted gears and sent the narrative down a different path. Conflicts that seemed central are sometimes resolved quickly, only for new tensions to emerge. Because of this constant sense of narrative movement, the film's two-hour-plus runtime feels surprisingly brisk.
The last 40 minutes are nothing short of brilliant. Without you even realising it, the film gradually tightens its grip until you're completely absorbed in the unfolding events. By the time it ends, the revelation of who truly deserves the title of the GOAT Nishaanchi lands with real impact.
The ensemble cast is given ample space to shine. The introduction of 'Anti-Social Anjana' was a delightful surprise-she contributes little to the plot, but her presence is irresistible and packed with energy. Zeeshan Ayub's Inspector Kamal Ajeeb gets far more screen time this time around, and he's a joy to watch. Even smaller characters like Puraane get standout moments. Raghav Juyal, in a brief cameo, steals the scene effortlessly. True to form, Kashyap writes exceptional female characters-badass yet grounded, emotionally astute, and brimming with resilience.
The Mother India reference towards the end absolutely floored me. Having pointed out something similar in my Part 1 review, seeing that thematic echo here felt incredibly satisfying.
Overall, Nishaanchi 2 is a major step up-tighter, bolder, and far more engaging than its predecessor. A compelling conclusion that rewards your patience.

I believe worse films than Nischaanchi have done good business, and Nischaanchi 2 deserves better than an OTT release. I created this page so I can rate this movie, and this is the first page I created after the release of the movie. This is a good movie with a predictable but satisfying ending . The music complements the action, and the journey of Babloo and Dabloo is portrayed well. A criminal can't put his crime away in a society like this, and this is what is shown in the film. However, I guess the film didn't work because many people are not aware of its existence.
The film follows two twin brothers one is in jail due to a crime linked to a corrupt political leader, while the other struggles to find a job. The second brother finally gets work in an engineering firm and unexpectedly falls in love with his jailed brother's girlfriend. As fate turns, the elder brother returns from jail but the political leader again tries to push him towards criminal activities. The brother refuses, and his honest decision changes the direction of the story. When corruption crosses the limits . A mother rises to deliver justice showing that a mother's pain can be stronger than any law. A gripping emotional drama with a powerful climax.
