The storyline and script are just terrible. Zero originality, ineffective, basic dialogue. This meant the drama was weak throughout, no matter how much they tried to fix that with music.
The acting is overdramatic, awkward and downright bizarre in places potentially exposing shoddy directing. The kids were good, Patric and Gooding Jr obviously good - even Baio made his scenes work.
They kept referring to being a patriot without defining properly what that meant - I started to get my suspicions that this was subtle propaganda. Then after the film read up on David AR White - enough said. There is one thing to make Christian films for the genre, another to make it defaultism.
Even if you like the "God Bless America" gung ho type films, I doubt you'll get pumped up on this.

The acting is bad, the dialog is bad, even the sets are bad. There are so many times where stuff just doesn't make sense. Like the main henchman getting knocked out without seeing anyone and then in the next scene he knows what happened and exactly who it was. It's laughable and so bad. Even when the main character walks into a building and needs a dead body pointed out to him even though he is some former FBI agent that has also done some "Military stuff" hahaha, when he said that I busted up laughing. Also since when do FBI agents wear dog tags? This move was literally a nepo piece to try and boost his daughters careers and their awful acting.
Firstly I must agree with a previous comment. The cast looks like they were the only available options. Secondly, the main characters acting was throwing me off and intially I couldn't put my finger on it... then it clicked, he's a Keanu Reeves wannabe. Thirdly, you literally now met a guy who helped you and you're already kissing him? That's all, then he saved you and he's kissing you? The director's acting? She literally sounds like she's trying to remember her lines. And the bad wig? Jesus.
Even with all the holes in the plot, the acting performance of Eve Richard is so bad that I found myself actually cringing with the few lines that she actually spoke. I feel sorry for the people who worked on this film, hoping that it would help their careers or resumes. If I was one of those people, I would never mention that I was involved with this colossal disaster..
Low budget movie with transparent story and predictable course of action. Can't believe that Cuba Gooding Junior agreed to act in this rotten movie. Maybe he needed the money....
From the first minute, everybody knew that the best friend of the main character named Cash has no good intentions and belongs to the other side. But what turned me down most: slow action scenes, especially the fist fighting. Seemed like my two grandpas fought each other's in slow motion....
Did you know
- TriviaAbout 39 and a half minutes you can clearly see a mike pack and aerial sticking out of the back of the blondes dress
- GoofsWhen Cash hands the pistol to Jamie, he says it's loaded and then hands her another magazine and says, "A second cartridge." A former FBI agent would not call it a cartridge.
