Ricky Gervais: Mortality

I almost forgot what it's like to laugh until you cry. You know which part, right? I could have been ironing. Jeeeeeeezussssss.

To think that one of the so called greats on the other side of the pond just dropped a preachy, hateful dud...

Ricky, you might have just saved comedy.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of Ricky. Love his humor. The dark jokes. The offensiveness. All of it. He's an awesome comedian and a brilliant writer.

That being said, after watching the show, nothing stuck with me. I had no idea what I've been watching the last hour. There was no story. No backbone. Nothing went from A to Z. Even when I thought he was done he suddenly came up with some jokes, with what felt like an afterthought, to fill the hour up.

I had high hopes for this show, unfortunately, Ricky seems to be a mortal after all. 😉

Ricky's body of work is ever expanding and I never tire of his humour or his sentiment.

Mortality is another laugh-out-loud funny stand up from this comedy genius. I think his sit-coms are his real strength, but his stand ups are all hilarious, even though they do tend to be a little more low brow.

Keep up the great work Ricky!

Ricky Gervais is the funniest stand-up comedian working today. Belly laughs. Spit-your-drink-out laughs. Hilarious stuff that will offend the permanently offended!

I see the early reviews are very tepid because they were offended! Good! I suspect an agenda is afoot. Sprint to see this show.

Fairly funny standup with quite a few controversial jokes. He's still got it! One corrective note is that the UK definitely doesn't have free speech haha. It's strange that he tested the limits in so many ways but gave the UK a pass for their draconian restrictions on free speech. That aside there's quite a few solid laughs in here unlike some other recent Netflix specials (Segura and Chappelle..)
