Women who don't actually seem to care about their religion, but instead wanted a shot to be real housewives.
Shallow, foul human beings.
Sensationalized and misleading portrayal of LDS women. Instead of offering an authentic look at their lives, it focuses on rare, fringe situations that distort reality for shock value. The show lacks nuance, perpetuates harmful stereotypes, and does a disservice to viewers looking for genuine insight. Rather than fostering understanding, it exploits its subjects for entertainment. If you're looking for a thoughtful exploration of Mormon culture, this is not the place to find it.

The sad part of this show is that the accuracy that it portrays those under 30 is way too accurate. They are more concerned with being superficial and breaking what they consider are oppressive societal norms. If you were to look at the bulk of LDS women over the age of 30, they do not share these same values as these ladies do. All this was, was taking a group of spoiled twenty something year old moms that are completely fake and only care about themselves. It was just another version of real housewives, just set to the LDS religion. Hopefully most people who are watching this, will see that this is the case. And based off of most comments I'm seeing and reviews, this seems to be the case.
I finished the whole season, just so I could give an honest opinion, but my feelings about this group of women are the same as when I used to see them on TikTok. Why are they even relevant? It's not entertaining, their relationship is uncomfortable to watch at best, and extremely toxic at its worst. Their constant back-stabbing is petty and reminds me of being in middle school. I have met several "Mormons" in my life, and the ones who live like most of these women do don't claim to be part of the religion any longer. Why pretend to be part of something you obviously don't agree with? No one is forcing you to call yourself a "Mormon", so the only obvious answer is that they are doing it for the shock factor and so they can make money while also making a mockery out of a religion that so many hold sacred. It's just distasteful.
I watched both seasons of this show and initially liked their "motto" of being supportive to each other, but I've never seen friends, let alone enemies, treat each other the way these girls treat one another. They are catty, bitchy, speak behind each others backs and are completely fake and rude to one another. I've never left a review on social media in my entire life, but I will not watch another season of this because I think it represents females in a false way. I have never, and would never treat my friends the way these girls treat one another and I hope that people do not use this show as a role model of what female friends are like in general or how typical females act, it is so far from how any females I know behave. Perhaps it's hyped up to be good drama for tv. I'd give the show one star out of ten.
This is one of those trashy reality shows my wife loves and I usually end up watching bits and pieces of when I'm in the room with her.
Just finished watching the 3rd season and it really dragged on over the subject of whether someone cheated or not and the way certain characters tried to worm their way back into the group by providing info regarding the cheating. There is a lot of mention of praying for someone but no actual praying goes on. There's lap dances and swinging parties and breakup (and makeup sex) and lots of lying.
I gotta be honest, sometimes I have no clue who is who as 3 or 4 of the women look the same. Same hair, same colour makeup, it's just confusing man. The only characters that seem to be decent people are Miranda and Layla but I think that's because they have lesser roles so you can't really tell what type of people they are.
If you like Vanderpump Rules and Real Housewives type shows then you will love this but if you value your braincells then maybe give it a break.
