St. Denis Medical took me by surprise. I went in expecting a typical workplace comedy, but it turned out to be much more than that. The mockumentary format (like The Office or Superstore) works perfectly here - you get the humor, awkwardness, and little moments of honesty that make each episode feel grounded.
The cast is the show's biggest strength. Wendi McLendon-Covey is hilarious and sharp as Joyce, a hospital administrator trying to hold everything together with limited resources and endless chaos. David Alan Grier brings a lot of warmth and dry humor as the veteran doctor who's seen it all, and Allison Tolman adds heart and realism as the nurse who genuinely cares about her patients. The chemistry between the cast feels natural, and that makes the comedy land even better.
I also like how the show balances comedy with subtle emotion - the hospital setting allows for small, touching stories without getting overly dramatic. It's refreshing to see a show that makes you laugh but also quietly reminds you that healthcare workers deal with real challenges every day.
Visually, it's well-shot, and the writing feels tight for a new series. The first couple of episodes take a bit to find rhythm, but once it settles in, it becomes genuinely enjoyable.
If you liked Superstore or Abbott Elementary, St. Denis Medical is definitely worth watching. It's a workplace comedy with heart, good laughs, and a cast you'll want to spend time with every week. I hope NBC keeps it going for several more seasons - this one has real potential.

We will soon tire of the mockumentary style the same way the fake audience laughter grew old but for now I am loving it.
St. Denis Medical found their own way to deliver laughs using this popular modern form. Lots of shows try and I watch them because I like this style but they don't all hit the mark. This show has me in tears! I can't believe how good it is.
The Office, Parks and Rec., and Modern Family are the tops in this area and I believe St. Denis Medical will find its place among them. That's all I have to say. Enjoy.

The office in a medical center, what do you need more. As a doctor, a lot of these interactions and jokes are very recognisable from the daily work.
A good show to relax after a long day, well filmed, good actors. Interested to see where they will be taking the characters and the storyline.
Yes, the characters are gross generalisations from each discipline but there is some truth in it which makes it more funny.
Lighten up all healthcare workers who are leaving bad reviews, this doesn't put us in a bad light. Relax and laugh with yourself and your (sometimes annoying) collegues, it's just a joke!

I've been watching St. Denis Medical since it first aired in 2024, and it continues to be one of my favorite shows on television. The writing, humor, and chemistry between the cast make every episode worth watching. The balance between comedy and heart is what keeps me coming back week after week.
Each character brings something unique to the show - the performances feel natural, and the situations are both hilarious and relatable. The mockumentary style works perfectly for this underfunded hospital setting, showing the daily chaos and human side of healthcare workers.
I'm especially invested in the storyline between Serena and Matt - curious to see if they'll finally get together. Fingers crossed!
St. Denis Medical is a clever, well-acted, and consistently entertaining series that deserves more attention. It's a must-watch for anyone who enjoys sharp writing, great ensemble casts, and sitcoms with genuine heart.

It's nowhere near on par with "The Office" or "Parks and Rec" (nothing ever will be), but it's got some laugh out loud moments. It reminds me a lot of Superstore, although that could be because half the cast came from that show. I can see how it's not for everyone, but it's definitely a lot better than most of the comedies I've seen released in the last few years. As one of the other reviews said, the comedic style is a bit more like the characters are cracking jokes with each other than trying to make the audience laugh. But there were some funny enough moments to make up for that, in my opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes!
