America Young and Amber May in Barbie: grande ville, grands rêves (2021)

Trivia

Barbie: grande ville, grands rêves

Edit
This is the only Netflix movie to have both Barbie's friends and family play very minor roles, unlike the other movies, where at least one of them plays a major role.
This is the only Netflix movie to not have the involvement of Ann Austen and/or Conrad Helten.
The tie in merchandise for the movie has Teresa and Daisy wear new outfits. This implies that might have had a bigger role in the movie, but they ultimately just make two cameos. They do get bigger roles for tie in shorts though.
The finalized version of the movie is vastly different from how it was originally conceived. Originally, both Malibu and Brooklyn were explicitly meant to fall in love with each other and get together at the end of the movie, where they would kiss after singing "See You At The Finish Line". The final movie instead just shows them as really good friends, with the ending changed to them holding hands after singing the final song. This was changed for two reasons. The first is because of how the songs that were written separately from the movie portrayed them as just friends, and the movie had to follow what was established there. The other reason is because of wanting to maintain continuity with Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, where Barbie is shown to care more about family and friends than she is about getting into a romantic relationship.
