Graduated with honors from Yale University at the age of twenty. Moved to Los Angeles to work on Treintaytantos (1987) and Sensación de vivir (1990) during the 1980s. Moved on to other works for Nickelodeon and Disney.

Attended the Yale School of Drama with Paul Giamatti where they performed in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Directed Steve Martin in two remakes: Doce en casa (2003) and La pantera rosa (2006).

As a teen he attended the famed Stagedoor Manor stage camp in the Catskills. Fellow alums include Natalie Portman, Robert Downey Jr. & Marisa Tomei.

Owns a production company called 21 Laps Entertainment.

Daughter Sophie Levy.

Speaks fluent English, Hebrew and French.

He shares a name with a movie reviewer for Portland, Oregon newspaper The Oregonian.
