So, I've watched two seasons of Younger. It's a show with no real suspense it doesn't keep you hooked for long. You can easily watch two or three episodes in a day, but after that it starts to feel repetitive. There's nothing that really pushes you to keep watching or makes you curious about what comes next.
The biggest issue for me is the main character. She's easily the most unlikable and irritating person in the series. On top of that, she very clearly looks like she's in her 40s, which completely breaks the concept for me. I'm not saying this as shaming at all it just doesn't work. If I saw her in real life, I'd immediately assume she's 40, so the whole premise falls apart.
What makes this even more frustrating is that the other characters are actually great. I genuinely love Diana and Maggie they're interesting, fun, and way more engaging than the protagonist.
But damn... the whole thing just doesn't work overall. Sadly, the concept fails, and after a while it becomes very tiring to watch.

The first two episodes were genuinely interesting and gave me hope that the show was going somewhere solid. There was a sense of mystery, a decent setup, and enough intrigue to keep me engaged. Unfortunately, after that point, everything completely collapsed. I honestly struggle to find anything positive to say about what followed.
The pacing became painfully slow, but not in a meaningful or atmospheric way just flat-out boring. Scenes dragged on without adding tension, character development, or narrative depth. It felt like the show was wasting time instead of building anything worthwhile. Episode after episode passed, and nothing of real importance seemed to happen.
The biggest problem, though, is the main character. She is easily one of the most unlikable protagonists I've seen in a long time. Not complex, not intriguingly flawed just unpleasant and exhausting to watch. Instead of pulling me into the story, she pushed me further away, making it even harder to stay invested in what was happening.
What's most frustrating is that the show started strong. There was potential there, and for a brief moment it felt like it could turn into something genuinely engaging. But instead of developing its ideas, it became repetitive, dull, and strangely lifeless. The momentum completely disappeared, and the story fell into a massive slump it never recovered from.
By the end, I wasn't disappointed I was bored. And boredom is honestly worse. This could have been something interesting, but it chose the safest, flattest route possible, leaving me with zero desire to continue or recommend it.

An unacceptable level of filmmaking it was borderline amateur. Honestly, nothing before the "vampire" part had any coherence or substance. And when the plot finally kicked in, things somehow got even worse.
Scenes made zero sense, with rapid cuts that left you wondering what the hell was happening. Example: a character hears a noise, goes to check, and then off-screen he's just suddenly dead with a tiny splash of blood that instantly disappears. Like... what?
This is the first time in six years that I actually turned a movie off. Absolute disaster. Also, I'm honestly shocked at how this thing has good reviews. I won't even comment on the awful "humor" it tried to pull off.
