At first i thought this was gonna be a fine series . I thought of watching it for good time pass but as soon as I went through the 1st episode..i realised this is a very good series . Great actors , great script , great production , engaging storyline . Though the film claims its inspired by true events revolving around ofcourse one and the only Guarav tiwari ( I've heard of him a lot of times ) , but most of it is fictional ( which is fine .. I like it ) ...I really liked this series . Its definitely not a disappointment. Go for it yall.
Abhay - The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery is one of those rare series that completely absorbs you from the very first episode and refuses to let go until the end. It's a perfect blend of mystery, emotion, and realism, making it an unforgettable watch.
The storytelling is tight and deeply engaging, unfolding layer by layer while maintaining an eerie, immersive atmosphere throughout. What truly elevates the series is its grounded approach - it doesn't rely on cheap scares or over-the-top dramatization. Instead, it builds tension through subtle cues, powerful dialogues, and a narrative that feels authentic and haunting at the same time.
The performances are exceptional across the board. Every character feels real and well-written, but the portrayal of Gaurav Tiwari stands out - calm, intelligent, compassionate, and fearless in the face of the unknown. The actor brings remarkable depth and sincerity to the role, making you emotionally invested in his journey.
Cinematography, background score, and pacing work seamlessly together, enhancing the mood without overpowering the story. The series respects the audience's intelligence, allowing viewers to connect the dots rather than spoon-feeding information.
What makes Abhay - The Gaurav Tiwari Mystery truly special is how it balances investigative storytelling with human emotion and spirituality. It leaves you thinking long after the final episode ends.
Overall, this series is a complete package - strong writing, brilliant acting, and a compelling story. A well-deserved 10/10 and a must-watch for anyone who loves meaningful, atmospheric mysteries.

Better Than Bollywood isn't just a phrase - it's a declaration of boldness, brilliance, and breaking boundaries. It's a celebration of stories that go beyond the glitz and glamour, that dare to be raw, real, and revolutionary. It's about creators who don't wait for permission, who build worlds from scratch, who speak truth in frames and pixels. It's the spirit of indie rebels, of cultural innovators, of voices that rise from the margins and shake the mainstream. It's the power of storytelling that doesn't just entertain but transforms - that makes you feel, think, and act. Whether it's a grassroots film movement, a tech-driven narrative, or a design that speaks louder than dialogue, "Better Than Bollywood" is a mindset. It's for those who believe that impact matters more than budget, that authenticity beats formula, and that the future of art belongs to those who dare to redefine it.
Show starts slowly but till reaching the end it gets more and more interesting as well haunting.
In the beginning I was taking it casually but till reaching the end, my soul came out from my body.
Not very horror tho, medium horror, no unnecessary jumpscares 👍.
The only Thing I disliked was tempering the OG Father of Indian Paranormal Investigator GAURAV TIWARI., it was not supposed to rewrite and add fiction, if your intent was to make the show inspired from reality but fictional then you shouldn't have used the name of Gaurav Tiwari, it's just dirty marketing.
Tho I don't know Gaurav sir a lot still I felt like you ruined his character, it was like you took a real character and added fiction around him and made a show for your benefits rather than talking about reality.
If your plan was to add fiction then you shouldn't have had taken the name of Gaurav sir, bcs we all were expecting that this show will disclose reality not "inspiration".
Basically my point is connecting a fiction to a real life character who doesn't even exists anymore is like mocking him.. so thats the only problem I found in the entire show other than that everything's fine and smooth.
Btw, My respect for ghosts rose immensely after watching the first case {Disha-Vikaram Khandelwal-Avik Ghosh's Painter Ghost} , haven't gave any spoilers.. cuz i didn't revealed "why" my respect rose for them, its your duty to find out why i said this!!
All the best;)

Very engaging and a fresh take on a normal horror cliche. For Bollywood, this is a breath of fresh direction and storytelling of this genre. One of the best horror shows in Indian Cinema. The story telling is near perfect with a mix of realty and fiction. The series does provide raw horror scares and those moments where you take your eyes off the screen.
