After making his first home made movies in his early twenties, Darroch went on to acquire an M.A. Honours Degree in Film, Television & Theatre at the University of Glasgow in 2000.
An experienced film-maker and actor, he has received over 40 international awards and nominations for film-making over the years.
A long term vegetarian, Darroch also has a background in conservation and environmental campaigning. His debut feature length film (the ecological drama "Good Intentions"), was picked up by U.S. distributor BayView Entertainment in 2020 and is available on DVD, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+
He also runs the award winning production company, Oak Tree Productions.
