19 January – 22 january: Plenary week
In the week of 19 January, Members' work is centered on Parliament's plenary sitting, and Committees meet only in exceptional cases. During this week, BUDG, REGI and AGRI Members will receive EVP Fitto and Commissioners Serafin and Hansen for an exchange on the Commission's proposal for the establishment of the European Fund for economic, social and territorial cohesion, agriculture and rural, fisheries and maritime, prosperity and security security (NRP Fund). JURI and LIBE Members will hold a joint exchange with Commissioner McGrath on the Justice programme for the period 2028-2034. Follow the links below to discover this week's highlights.

Parliament's committees will meet representatives of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union to discuss its priorities in relation to the committees' respective areas of responsibility. These meetings will start taking place in the week of 26 January 2026. The Cyprus Presidency started in the beginning of January and will run until the end of June.
