U.S. President Donald Trump announced new tariffs on European countries with a military presence in Greenland, as part of the administration’s ambitions to take control of the island. Beginning February 1, NATO countries will face a 10% tariff on all products sent to the United States, rising to 25% in June. The measures are linked to the White House’s plan to annex Greenland for its anti‑air defense project, known as the “Golden Dome.”
