Rate this book
A missing federal witness is on the run in Sommersville!

Sheriff Tom Myers returns in an all new mystery series from BEN Books and author, Bobby Nash. Originally appearing in Nash’s first published novel, Evil Ways, the fan favorite Sheriff Myers and his deputies returned in the novel, Deadly Games. Now, at long last, Tom Myers is back in his own series of mystery/thrillers beginning with In the Wind.

In the Wind: A Tom Myers Mystery:

A safehouse ablaze.

Four dead federal agents.

A missing federal witness.

Two wounded agents clinging to life.

Another day at the office for Sheriff Tom Myers.

When a secret joint FBI and US marshal safehouse in Sommersville, Georgia, is attacked, federal witness, Bates Hewell, flees custody in the confusion and heads for the hills. The authorities descend on the county in search of their prize witness, now classified as “In the Wind”. The FBI and US Marshals Service are convinced that their material witness is hiding out in the wilds of undeveloped Sommersville County, an area with its own set of laws and rules. Can local Sheriff Tom Myers find him and bring him in before a band of hired killers do?

Tom Myers' story began in Evil Ways and continued in Deadly Games, but the Sommersville sheriff’s adventures are far from over. Sheriff Tom Myers returns in In the Wind, the first in a new series of mystery/thriller novellas by award-winning author Bobby Nash and published by BEN Books. FBI Agent Tom “Mac” McClellan from Bobby Nash's Snow series guest stars in this story as the BEN Books thriller universe grows.

An Exciting Adventure

Really enjoyed this novella length novel starring small town Sheriff Tom Myers. A safe house is put into use in his county but the FBI and the Marshals failed to tell him. When everything goes wring and the witness that was being guarded is in the wind along with several bad guys looking for him is when Myers finds out about it. He sets up his department to try and find the witness but that is easier said than done in such a large rural area. Plus there is a time limit since the bad guys want to shut up the witness permanently.

Highly recommended, well written and fast paced. The characters are well done and Myers is an interesting mix of capable and I'm getting to old for this. Will definitely read what is next for Myers and crew.

I purchased this book because of the amazing reviews on Amazon and oh boy, they were all right. This book is fantastic, the story is so beautiful and full of emotions, I couldn't put this down until I ended. The characters are so real and so well written that you can easily find yourself or a friend reflected on them, you start to love and care for them. Amazing book!!! can´t wait to read more from Bobby Nash

This author is truly comfortable in his writing style. It is clean, lean, just what is needed to help the reader look forward to his future stories. If there is a series to follow, his books will be gobbled up. I couldn't stop till the end!

Waiting for the next books... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Aside from some editing mistakes, this was a fun mystery thriller. Sheriff Tom Myers and company make a great team. This is a throwback to the Justified and especially Longmire days. Can’t wait to read the next one.

Sheriff Tom Myers and his department are called in when a safe house is attacked and a key witness is in the wind. Good story that moves at a nice pace, as Sommersville takes centre stage, after appearing in other stories.

I read and enjoyed the book. It had plenty of twist and turns and character interaction to make it interesting to read. I usually never read an entire book this quick but seemed to keep pulling me back to see how it would come to an end and it did not disappoint.
