The Gestapo and SS Manual

Rate this book
This first English translation of the training manual used before and during World War II provides a rare glimpse into the actual operating procedures of the Gestapo, SS and Waffen-SS - procedures until now virtually undocumented. Part I covers police training; Part II describes paramilitary operations in open terrain; Part III details urban police operations during peace and war times.

Anyone interested in the tactics employed by the Gestapo and SS will find this book interesting. Detailed information on what is now called Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) tactics is stressed; roadblock operations and arrest procedures for civilians is covered; inner/outer security 'ring' patrols are examined - you will get more out of this book if you have a military background.
