From nationally bestselling author Daryl Wood Gerber comes a riveting new suspense!

When Kayla Macintyre discovers her twin sister Ashley brutally murdered, grief quickly gives way to terror—because Kayla was the real target. A case of mistaken identity fools the police into thinking she’s the one who died, and Kayla seizes the chance to disappear into her sister’s glamorous life as a supermodel. It’s a dangerous gamble for a tech-savvy, adrenaline-chasing computer repair specialist with zero fashion sense.

But the lie buys her time—and a shot at the truth.

As her clients and friends begin turning up dead, Kayla suspects the killer’s motive lies buried in the digital trails she’s been hired to clean. To stay alive, she must dive into the shadows of her clients’ secrets, unravel a conspiracy, and stay one step ahead of a killer who’s finally realized he missed his mark.

Time is running out. The next mistake could be fatal.

Kayla’s twin sister is murdered in Kayla’s home while Kayla is out. But her twin is able to tell Kayla that the murderer thought he was killing Kayla. Kayla realizes that the only way she can find her sister’s killer is to become her sister - quite a challenge for a computer tech to play the role of a model! Then her computer clients keep turning up dead, and a friend who was helping her gather information disappears, and her twin’s boyfriend flies back from Paris.
There are quite a few threads that the author weaves into a jarring tapestry. The cast of characters seems daunting (though there are a lot fewer by the end), and it’s hard to know who can be trusted.
Kayla’s grief and confusion and fear were palpable.
My only difficulty with this book was making sure I didn’t have any appointments cutting into my reading time, it was too easy to slip from one chapter to the next and tell myself “Just a few more pages.”

A fun thrill ride.
When Kayla, sister is murdered, she is shattered. As info comes to light, she realizes that she was the intended target. But who would want to kill her?

A fun thrill ride. As always, Daryl has great characters that you care about and want to see come out on top. Good twists and turns that keep you guessing the entire way.

The author provided a copy of this book for my fair review.

Kayla has discovered her twin sister Ashley murdered. What she realizes is that she was the intended target. Kayla now finds herself in danger. Mistaken identity gives Kayla the chance to vanish into Ashley’s supermodel world. It won’t be easy as Kayla doesn’t have the fashion sense Ashley had.
She needs to dig deep to find out the truth while staying vigilant and a step ahead of the killer.
Computer savvy, secrets, conspiracy all keeping me on the edge of my seat.

I received an ARC prior to publication and decided to voluntarily review it.

Accidental Murder by Daryl Wood Gerber is an intriguing tale. The story is well written with a peppy pace. The mystery is well plotted. Kayla must stay vigilant if she wants to discover the truth and stay ahead of person trying to kill her (I bet Kayla wishes she had paid more attention to fashion—fake it till you make it). There is danger, nefarious activities, a missing friend, secrets, a conspiracy, cyber talk, and more. I enjoyed the mystery (I love solving them). There are hints that will lead to the guilty party (if you pay close attention). Accidental Murder is a stimulating story that had me up until the wee hours, so I could see how the story concluded.

A wonderfully thrilling read that had me guessing the whole way through. Kayla finds her twin sister murdered and soon realizes she was the actual target. Wanting to figure out who the killer is she takes on her sisters identity so she can investigate. As she starts her investigation Kayla soon realizes that several of her clients have died as well, ones she visited during a certain period of time. She must now start looking into her clients to see who has something to hide. Follow along in this exciting new read to see where the clues take Kayla and will she figure out what is going on before someone comes after her.

Kayla has to take matters into her own hands when her friend goes missing, and she finds her twin sister Ashley dying. Ashley eventually succumbs to her injuries. Nefarious events take place, and Kayla finds herself in danger. She doesn't know who to trust but she has to keep digging to find out the truth. This book was an exciting edge of my seat thrill ride, and I highly recommend it! The author provided a copy of the book for a fair review. All opinions are my own.

Well, that was exciting! Daryl Wood Gerber has written another page turner. I really did not guess who the bad people were. There were a lot of hints, though. But the story was very intriguing and I ended up staying up late some nights trying to find out who all was involved with the crimes. I can see that there could be another book to continue with some of Kayla's early story. Thanks for the interesting read!
