Skydiving in Las Vegas lands a modern-day woman in the past—and in the arms of her true love—in this romance from the New York Times–bestselling author. When Mairie Callahan jumps out of an airplane high above the Nevada desert, she simply hopes that her parachute will open. What she doesn't expect is that she'll land a hundred and twenty-two years in the past.... When Jack Delaney returns home from the Civil War in 1877, he hopes a vision quest amongst his adoptive Paiute Indian brothers will bring him peace. Instead, it brings a strange, beautiful woman falling from the sky.... Even though Mairie's ravings about "the future" seem crazy to Jack, he can't help but be drawn to her. She's unlike any woman he's ever met. Soon the two are racing to return Mairie home to her dying brother with an extinct plant that might save him. Will she return in time? Will they survive the danger along the way? And, is the bond forming between them more than friendship? Is it love? In ANYWHERE YOU ARE, Constance O’Day-Flannery, the original “Queen of Time Travel Romance,” mixes a timeless love story with a harrowing adventure that unites two souls born a century apart.

When Mairie Callahan learns that her brother's cancer is in remission, they decide to live life to the fullest. That is why she is parachuting out of a plane into the Nevada desert. But something goes wrong, and her brother isn't there when she lands. After hours of waiting, a man appears dressed as an Indian. Jack Delaney has returned to his adoptive home among the Paiute Indians, seeking solace after the years fighting in the American civil war. As he completes his vision quest, he sees a person falling from the sky. Believing this is a gift from the gods, Jack hurries to retrieve his gift. What he finds is a woman who tells him a crazy tale about flying. Mairie asks Jack to take her to Las Vegas. He doesn't understand why she wants to go to Las Vegas ranch, but he is willing to lead her there.

I've owned this book for a long time and thought I'd give it a try. I usually love time-travel stories, but this one doesn't work for me. Mairie took too long to come to terms with the fact that she had traveled back to 1877. This slowed the pace of the story down to the point where I was thinking about giving up. The story suddenly picked up when someone tries to kill both Mairie and Jack as she is trying to return to her own time. I couldn't figure out how they were going to get away, but they used ingenuity to successfully rescue themselves. Landing back in 1999 Mairie makes one dumb move after another. This is where I lost interest again while I slogged my way through the rest of the book.

There are so many good time-travel tales out there. Find another one to read. My rating: 2.5 Stars.

Delightful tale. This story makes for quick and light reading. It's far fetched, but very amusing. The female protagonist travels back in time to 1877 while skydiving over an area where the government is holding top secret experiments. She appears to be an angel falling from the sky to a man sitting on top of a mountain during his American Indian vision quest. Once together, they experience quite a cultural/temporal clash in the first few days of their acquaintance. But even as they get on each other's nerves, they are strongly attracted to each other. More time traveling brings both of them forward to her present, 1999, and we get to enjoy the fruition of their mutual love. The plot comes to a happily ever after conclusion!

I love time-travel books, but I hate it when it just turns into a sappy Harlequin romance novel.

Time-Travel...I never expected to truly enjoy a novel about time-travel but Constance has once again turned me into a huge fan! Thank you Mrs. O'Day-Flannery for taking me out of my comfort zone and dropping me into a world that I never expected to visit. You have expertly given your characters a "voice" - I was able to picture each conversation, each character (their personality, the appearance, their dialect). The scenery was magnificent in my mind. What a talented writer! What an amazing novel!

This was a great story and I could hardly put this down. This story really gave me a lot of of things to think about in subjects brought up. The characters were fantastic and very smart. An exciting and thrilling story.

Constance doesn't disappoint!

Great book! I really enjoyed the banter between Jack and Marie. I'm hoping to read more of her books. Thanks!

A little different then the typical time travel. Some political undertones that I personally find annoying. But as always, this author doesn’t disappoint.

So many plot holes. A bit far fetched. A fluffy read.

I really wanted to like this book because I have a fondness for time traveling romance novels, but it was hard to finish. I read the whole book so I can give it a fair review/rating.

***MAY BE SPOILER, READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION***

What I don't like about the book was the fact that the heroine kept denying that she went back 120 years in time, to 1877 (from yr. 1999). There were lots of repetitive moments where she kept saying, she just couldn't believe it, or that she thought the hero was deranged. All she wanted to do was go back to the present time and find her brother. I didn't feel like it was a time travel romance at all. The chemistry was bland to non-existing. The "love scenes" were scarce to none. It was a bore to read about the details of area 51, and the scientific explanation of how she was brought back in time. There were some points that were enjoyable, but the whole of the plot was just uninteresting. Too bad I actually liked the hero's character. If only he was in a different book with a different heroine...

ANYWHERE YOU ARE - Okay
O'Day-Flannery, Constance

When a rugged, wild, but incredibly breathtaking man approaches Mairie Callahan, she is unprepared for the enticing tremors of passion she feels. But there is something unusual about this stranger and something peculiar about what's happened to Mairie. For when she crazily agreed to go skydiving with her brother, she expected to land somewhere outside of Las Vegas, but Jack Delaney, as this stranger introduces himself, tells her she has landed in a different place--and time.

Jack Delaney has returned to his adoptive home among the Paiute Indians, hoping to regain the soul he'd lost fighting in the Civil War. He seeks solace and a new life in the vast expanse of the Nevada wilderness. Then one day something falls from the skies. It's a woman--captivatingly beautiful--who says she's from another time. Soon, he can't imagine losing her, which makes each moment she spends with him all the more precious.

A skydiver, time-travel, the Old West, a miracle plant - it was okay.
