Angelika Regossi

5 books173 followers
Angelika Regossi is an author, journalist, and East European specialist who writes European historical romance and women’s intimate stories shaped by political regimes. A former BBC correspondent during the fall of the Iron Curtain, she reported on the collapse of communism, the wars of Yugoslav independence, and the transformation of Eastern Europe.
Her work also appeared on RFI, Deutsche Welle, VRT, Spiegel TV, NOS, Voice of America, and other major international media. Writing under the names Agnes R. Bos and Агнеш Бос, she became known for her sharp reporting, emotional depth, and unique insight into life behind the Soviet curtain.
Born in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, Angelika grew up under communism and later lived in Hungary, Canada, and the Netherlands. A multilingual investigative journalist, she brings lived experience, cultural authenticity, and emotional truth to her storytelling.
Her debut novel, LOVE IN COMMUNISM. A Young Woman’s Adult Story, draws directly from her intimate knowledge of the USSR—its rules, its silences, and the resilience of women navigating love, danger, identity, and survival.
Her work has been read and reviewed internationally.
⭐ Editorial Praise
“The book is extremely well-written. I learned things about the country that were fascinating and only someone who has lived there could know. To top it off it had the most surprising ending I’ve probably ever read. The author is a great talent in creativity and literary writing.” — A. Shane Etter, USA author.
❤️ Why I Wrote Love in Communism
I recently shared why I wrote Love in Communism — a personal story behind the novel:

✏️ A Lifetime of Writing
Angelika began writing at five years old. Her first poem—written under Soviet childhood propaganda—was about “Grandfather Lenin.” Even then she sensed the contradictions of communist life. She never stopped writing, imagining, or recording stories.
Today, she transforms that early life experience and decades of reporting into emotionally rich fiction that resonates with readers worldwide.
