For this project I targeted a Detroit neighborhood; Corktown. After conducting extensive research about the neighborhood I discovered that residents of Corktown were participating in the urban farming trend. I developed Corktown Patio Patches, an all in one urban farming kit. Inside the crate lives a potato sack filled with tools, instructions to grow vegetables, and even a gardening apron. Dirt not included. The potato sack is then used to line the kit and the patron and grow his/her farm right on there patio. I also developed a poster series to promote Corktown Patio Patches.
