Shaq is a male Shiba Inu born 3/15/2025. He is neutered, weighs 30–34 lbs, fully house-trained, crate trained, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations and routine care. Shaq is a high-energy, intelligent, and affectionate young dog who enjoys attention and interaction with people. He does very well with children and is social when meeting other dogs in public or neutral settings. He knows basic obedience commands including “Come” and “Place,” and responds well when structure and consistency are provided. He is food motivated and eager to continue learning in a structured home. Shaq does require a very specific placement: he must be the ONLY dog in the household. He is not compatible with living with another dog due to ongoing conflict with his sibling. He has not been tested with cats, so cat compatibility is unknown. This is a carefully considered, responsible rehoming decision made to ensure Shaq has the best possible long-term environment where he can thrive w/o conflict

Against the odds, she survived—and in 2021, she finally found what we all believed was her forever home. Sadly, after four years of being part of a family, Ellong was returned to the shelter. We were heartbroken and confused to hear that she was said not to coexist well with another dog—after four years together. Despite this painful chapter, Ellong remains one of the most well-behaved and gentle dogs at the shelter. She carries no bitterness, only quiet hope. We truly wish for Ellong to find a real forever home this time—one that will stand by her, cherish her, and never abandon her again💛 • Personality: Affectionate, Gentle, Friendly Ellong is full of affection and loves people. She adapts quickly to new places. Basic Information * With People: Is still not fully comfortable with human touch. Tends to bark at unfamiliar people and dislikes when people try to pet her. Even while showing affection (like licking/kisses), she may nip without warning. With familiar people, she may give a "warning nip" (feels like a pinch) if they do something she dislikes. Barks at strangers out of fear and defensiveness. Absolutely loves going for walks and treats! Particularly adores the head of Adogs! Is frightened by loud noises or sudden, large movements. Tends to cowered or lie flat on the ground at loud sounds. Gets particularly startled by stern voices or banging on a table. Is wary of unfamiliar people and surroundings, so she takes her time at first. However, once a bond is formed, she shows a lot of affection. Requires some time to build trust and get comfortable.
