John Fleskes is the president and publisher of Flesk Publications. He has published over sixty books to date. Fleskes has contributed to numerous books as writer, editor and designer and serves as the director of the annual showcase "Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art."

    Hay muchos libros que recopilan arte de corte fantástico, y de gran nivel. Pero Spectrum lleva más de 20 años abonado a la excelencia en este sentido. Cada año tienes la sensación del más y mejor, de estar ante la mejor de esas recopilaciones.
    Lo que no me ha gustado es el precio, en amazon suele encarecerse más el producto respecto a su precio original, pero entiendo que es una producto que hay que suele ser para un público especializado, profesionales del medio y tal y además hay que importarlo.
    De todas formas, recomiendo su compra a pesar del precio. Merece la pena, y mucho.

    La única manera de mejorarlo sería que la selección fuese más exaustiva y se pudieran encajar más imágenes de gran tamaño en lugar de tantas en tamaños pequeños. Es el único "pero" que se lue puede encontrar!

    Flipped through this and the was amazed at all the fantastic art within. Great collection and spectrum covering all contemporary fantasy art available at this time, showcasing some of the best and a few that I did not consider too great. Solid bind and hard cover, great high gloss card stock for the pages, however the pages seemed to have weird curls to them. This is not damage of any kind, but it was if the books were tightly bound in shipped and when unsealed and viewed some of the pages were clumped together and had a curl to them. Part of this may also be attributed to the fact that not all the pages were cleanly cut prior to the binding process resulting in some of these curls pages being grouped together in parts through the book. Overall the art is great and this introduced me to some new artists and actually showed me art from long time artists I have been a fan of that are still creating new works that I did not know about. If you are a fan of fantasy art and want to see what is being put out now I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to see great new fantasy art.

    Fascinado como siempre con las publicaciones de Spectrum: Buena calidad en impresiones y por sobre todo una recopilación excelente e inspiradora para los que gustamos de las artes visuales. Publicación muy recomendada!

    Chaque année, Spectrum nous présete une magnifique collection d'images de Fantasy.
    Le numéro 22 ne fait pas exception à la règle: les sujets sont beaux, variés... Bref, c'est un plaisir à parcourir !
    En plus, il a tendance à grossir d'année en année.
