Apocalypse Alley: Volume 2 (Blue Unicorn) Tapa blanda – 29 noviembre 2017
Opciones de compra y complementos
Comet's only lead is a smart-mouthed criminal he finds amid the mess. His name's Buzz Howdy. He's a con man and a hacker and deserves to be in jail. Or in handcuffs, at least. The only thing the two have in common is JT. Unless you count the steamy glances they're sneaking at one another. They have those in common too. But that just makes Comet all the more wary.
Despite their mutual distrust, they'll have to work together to rescue JT before a cyborg assassin gets to him first. Racing down a miserable stretch of road called Apocalypse Alley, they must dodge radioactive spiders, a killer Buick, and rampaging cannibals. They also try to dodge each other. That last bit doesn't work out so well.

5,0 de 5 estrellas Incredible middle book in the trilogy, lots of action, sex and just enough romance.
The author definitely took this book up a notch! I am sure that part of the reason I loved this one a bit more than book one is that in this book we get not just non-stop action and hot sex, but also some actual romance. I am so head over heels for Comet and Buzz. Watching them fight through adversity while developing feeling for each other was such a joy to read. I liked Buzz a lot in book one, but getting inside his head so much more in this one just made me love him more. I love the way the overarching trilogy storyline was progressed in this book. It has me eagerly awaiting book three in November. I can't wait to see how everyone's fight with the fire wizard/dragon turns out as well as Austin and JT finally getting together for real since Austin has finally realized he belongs with JT and now he just needs to convince JT of that!

5,0 de 5 estrellas they work even read out of order!
I read these out of order. But! Despite my less-than-stellar memory, leaving #2 until last just means events in #3 have realigned a little - and this illustrates Don Allmon's talent. Each of these novels can be read alone, if you don't mind leaving elements hanging, or if you don't mind not quite grasping some of the solutions in #3 until you've filled in some backstory. It's a wild, bizarre, gritty and sexy race to the end. This trilogy is VERY highly recommended.
I look forward to reading these in order, some day when I've forgotten enough about them. It'll be awhile.

5,0 de 5 estrellas fast paced and very hot
I liked this one a tiny bit less than the first boo, and yet it was very enjoyable read. The romance lacked the complexity of the relationship between JT and Austen, but if still very hot and fun. Both Comet and Buzz are fun characters. Usually I dislike instalove, but somehow it worked for those two. The world building is one of most intriguing. Lately I found that I really love Urban Fantasy of the post-magic-apocalypses kind. Somehow magic combined with computers and automatic weapons just works for me.

5,0 de 5 estrellas In the spirit of Dhalgren
Remind me of Samuel R. Delaney. Also a bit of Sandman Slim. Cyberpunk post-apocalyptic world peopled by fantasy characters. Or is it the other way around?

5,0 de 5 estrellas Great Addition to a Great Series
I’m such a fan of this series, and this book was a great addition! Awesome world building, so much action, adds crazy intrigue to the overall plot arc of the series. I hope we see more of Buzz and Comet in the books to come.
