Carl Sagan was Professor of Astronomy and Space Sciences and Director of the Laboratory for Planetary Studies at Cornell University. He played a leading role in the Mariner, Viking, and Voyager spacecraft expeditions to the planets, for which he received the NASA medals for Exceptional Scientific Achievement. Dr. Sagan received the Pulitzer Prize and the highest awards of both the National Academy of Sciences and the National Science Foundation, and many other awards, for his contributions to science, literature, education, and the preservation of the environment. His book Cosmos (accompanying his Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning television series of the same name) was the bestselling science book ever published in the English language, and his bestselling novel, Contact, was turned into a major motion picture.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 December 2013A very interesting read, author well before his time.. Could not put it down. Makes you really think hard about things.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 February 2013Brilliantly written by a brilliant scientist.
Carl Sagan has a way of putting across complex ideas about the universe in an elegant and captivating way. This book got me thinking about the possibility of extra-terrestrials in a completely different way.
But beyond that the author does not ignore the fact that this is a novel and he also tells a great story. One you can read again and again.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 September 2014If there were a no star option this would be 1.. It's in Spanish or some other language and is no use to me. If you can read Spanish then I'm sure it's an amazing book! The film with Jodie foster is insane and Carl Sagan is a boss.. Shall be returning the book. It'll be easier than learning another language. Defo should have been more clear in the language, unfair :(

5.0 out of 5 stars C'è qualcuno la fuori?

5.0 out of 5 stars Quel pavé !
