Decided to finish Coachwhip's "After Dark" series with this collection. Like my title suggests, most of these stories are extremely short. Do the math: 30 stories in 167 pages! If you read anthologies like I do by rotating through a stack of them, you will find this book refreshing knowing that whenever its turn comes up there will be no surprising novellas and you will easily be able to finish the story in one sitting.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a cool, kinda creepy
I specifically purchased this for the story that was referenced in an episode of Ancient Aliens "The Difficulty of Crossing a Field". It's a cool, kinda creepy, short read. I think this would make a perfect introduction book into Bierce's stories for anyone unfamiliar with his work.
