Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 July 2002This colection is one of one of the most precious books in my collection. Too much science fiction focussed on very similar ideas. Mckenna deals with ideas of reality as Dick does in much of his work. Mckenna deals with it in a more interesting way not possessed with Dick's inner demons. The writing is at times flawed. The first story in this collection is over heavy originally twice as long as the version in this collection. Other minor faults (including the fact that it is v difficult to track down a copy of this) prevent me giving this work 5 stars. Anyone who tracks this down will be glad of the effort.
Mckenna is an author who deserves to be better known, deserves a reissue of his SF work. Fiddlers Green is amazing.

5.0 out of 5 stars These stories are truely wonderful. Most wonderful of all is "Fiddler's Green".
During my teaching career I taught "Fiddler's Green". It developed a cult following among my students. Many of them requested a copy of FG to keep for themselves. Seniors, on senior privilege in the courtyard outside my classroom window would hang through said widows to experience my oral presentation of this story.
