Flora's Secret Room
About
Made in Unity 6 for Trijam 338 - Theme: Secret Room.
Development by Vmpwje. Massively over-scoped by accident, despite asset re-use from Tanith's Lab of Irrational Fears, but wanted to finish it. Took about 5-6 hours in the end.
How to play
Flora the Explorer is out collecting eggs, but some of them are hard to get to. By creating doors to a secret room, she should be able to get all eight eggs.
Keyboard controls are explained in-game. Please read the text on the background wall for levels 1-3. If you get stuck, kill yourself on a spike to reset the level.

The sounds and 3d 2d style are awesome. Tons of gameplay here too!
Just played this for a few minutes at work. Love it! The music in particular is excellent, and I love the contrast between the two pieces.
A couple of thoughts: it would be helpful, I think, if the disappearing platforms were visually distinct from the ones that don't disappear; it would be cool if the eggs *showed up in the basket* and persisted from level to level; and, in Level 2, in the instructions for placing doors, I think the "1" in "Don't use 1 here" should be in quotation marks. I first read it as "don't use one here", as in, "don't use *a door* here", rather than just "don't use Door #1 here".
Hope that all makes sense. Love the game! Super impressive to have done this in 5-6 hours.
Thanks for the comments! Great suggestions. And it was only possible in that time frame because I reused assets (e.g. player controller, collapsing platforms, spikes, camera movement) from a previous game. I had hoped I'd be able to do it in 3 hours but that turned out to be woefully optimistic!
