(Don't) Open Your Eyes
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
You are trying to fall asleep.
In the midst of a silent night, a shadowy being approches your bed.
You can't see it... but across the darkness of your eyelids, a silhuette forms nonetheless.
It seeks one thing: for you to open your eyes, and tell them how they look.
Will you comply? Or will you refuse to see them for what they are?
The choice is yours.
"(Don't) Open Your Eyes" is a short, horror-themed Visual Novel about a midnight encounter with a mysterious being. Through conversation, you'll learn more about them, such as their journey so far, or what they think about themselves. And every now and then, it'll make a simple request out of you: to open your eyes.
It's up to you whether to open your eyes or not. It's up to you to believe if they're really there, or if that whispering voice is only a part of your imagination. Just don't keep your visitor waiting for too long.
Features:
- A chilling tale about a creature's eternal search.
- Fully-voiced experience.
- Choose how the creature looks like at specific points in the story, with up to 27 possible combinations.
- Each option provides a new bit of dialogue, so be sure to try them all!
- A succint experience, between 30 minutes and 1 hour in length.

I can fix him I SWEAR
Sooo, I discovered this game in 2022 or 2021, idk exactly when, but I was really lonely, I din't have many friends, like, I had my cousin but I saw him 1 or 2 times a year, also the pandemic so I was really pretty lonely. Also I was very depressed because of a person's death, but I don't know if I want to talk about it in a comment session. But anyways, when I played it, it was a random night, I was scrolling and I liked the game aesthetic. I remember that I got scared at first because the noise of the grill in the background, 'cause I thought that it was irl, then I noticed that it was just the game. The whole gameplay was very... weird, in a way, because everything that the Entity said (I used to give him a name but that was too cringe) felt too real, like, I identified with practically everything, and it was weird to me because idk, I was young, like 11, and I never really had an experience that made me feel like I wasn't the only one with problems in the world. I got kinda obsessed with this game, in a way like, I created conversations with Entity, it was like, my only "friend", like, I used to close my eyes and intended it to be on top of my closet, and that was too comforting to me. And well, now I played it again, and it felt so comforting to play, because I could relate to that things the Entity say again, but, it also made me notice that I'm so better than when I was in 2021-2022, so, yeah. I really love this game, I wrote a lot about it, and I think it still made me understand some things in my life, and also it affected my sleep paralysis, but idk, it feels not so agonizing. So yeah, that's my favorite visual novel ever, thanks to the creators. Sorry for my english, its not my first language
I couldn't keep my eyes closed.

A WHAT
You heard me
This was a fantastic game. I would love to see a prequal to explain what this being is, how it came to be and an interaction with a person who was actually able to see. Also, it would be awesome if you submitted this being to the SCP page, it's definitely SCP like. The gameplay starts at 6:23.

I liked it but at some point I prepared myself for an erotic twist. (Don't think that was the intention of the developer but kinda doubt)
SO REAL
I always play games at night because then it's dark and makes the game seem more realistic when I'm sleepy as hell so good game mate
