‘I hired Gary to edit the first book in my ‘Soho Summers series’ after seeing him present at the Bournemouth Writing Festival in April 2025. His session, Organising Chaos: Turn a Messy Draft into a Publishable Book, co-hosted with Sophie Beal, Director of Cadence Publishing, was fantastic. I loved their friendly, down-to-earth approach and deep knowledge of what it takes to get a book publishable.

An Author’s Perspective - Passion vs Profit ~ Inside a Small Press
In March I was at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth with the director of Cadence Publishing, Sophie Beal, talking about the differences between publishing with a major company and a small press. This was one of a monthly series of talks and workshops - An Author’s Perspective - given by publishing professionals for bestselling psychological thriller writer Alex Stone’s Author Events. Our talk was Passion vs Profit ~ Inside a Small Press.
