Note: While Web-KAT Attack! is available for playing both in the browser and natively on Windows or Android. This game makes heavy use of Godot particle effects, which have limited support on web. If playing in the browser, I recommend using Chrome or Edge with hardware acceleration enabled and expect a long ~30 second startup time for your first round.

It's a lot of fun, and I loved it!

The web demo seems to lag a lot when killing enemies, and it takes a second or two for it to run smoothly again (and this seems to repeat every time you kill an enemy)

But when I downloaded it, everything was running smoothly

Edit: By enabling graphics acceleration on Edge, the web version also runs smoothly.

It was really fun to play it :)

Thanks for trying it out! I have a shader pre-compile step which is why the game takes a bit to start the first time you launch it, but perhaps it’s not working sometimes for Edge.

Can you let me know if 1.) The game took a while to start the scene initially? There should be a 5-30 second load the first time you press start game 2.) If you have hardware acceleration turned on in the browser? It’s possible that the particles don’t work correctly without that.

It's really fun, but to spawn a mob close to me that instantly shoot something that instantly reach me and instantly kills me kill the fun early...

But it's still fun :)

Thanks for playing, and also thanks for the feedback! You are not the first person to mention this to me! I will adjust the initial delay a bit on the shooters to be a bit more forgiving!

Edit: As a heads up I have just pushed a new build that both increases the minimum spawn distance for the shooting Debugger enemies, and increases their initial windup time. My intention for these enemies is to counter strategies where you are camping in one spot, so having them spawn close to you somewhat defeats that purpose.

If you give the game another shot let me know if that feels better!

Yeah it's much better now! I can handle laser. For me they are even less threat than the mass of enemies pushing you to a corner. It becomes hard but it's stimulating
