i was thinking about jurassic park while i was in bed with the flu and a veterinarian allows a random woman to walk up to a sick ten-ton animal and put her entire hand in its mouth to play with its tongue. how did this not end poorly.
this seems relevant to several mutuals’ interests

yeah obviously i’ve always been willing to let the jp raptors hunt me for sport as they wish but i tear up whenever i see a brachio tbh

See Resultsi'm just curious bc i'm watching How to Train Your Dragon and i always forget how happy and calm it makes me feel. i mean, i did name my cat after Toothless the dragon. but i also love Lion King, that's my Disney comfort movie. and my Ghibli comfort movie is Spirited Away. watching any of these when i'm in a foul mood or my anxiety is high always helps 🥰 but i watch them just for fun too, not only when i'm in a mood. what about you?
i would do anything to be in the jurassic park gift shop for five seconds i can be trusted look at me hammond let me in i’m the least of your problems right now
rewatching jurassic park for the millionth time and i just realised the lighting in the lunch scene is fascinating. through the placement of projectors in the room, hammond’s cast with light from behind like he’s an angel or a saint. when malcolm and grant disagree with him, there’s a projector light shining directly at the camera, a circle (or two) of bright white light that makes it vaguely uncomfortable to look at that part of the screen. a light that doesn’t show any of the grand future planned for the park, yet blocks out the internal workings of the system that will eventually break down. when hammond says i can’t believe it, when he voices his moment of shock and discomfort there’s a projector light directly behind him for a moment, until the camera angle switches to gennaro giving his support, and gennaro has the same angelic light halo himself since he supports hammond
since ingen had patented their version of dinosaur dna i need a story where a knockoff park opens and actually does everything correctly and has backup plans and security measures and animals that have proper enrichment and medical care
and i want all this to be the background for a knockoff park employee vigorously arguing with original park diehard supporters on tumblr bc they don’t think it’s as cool as the ‘legit’ park but at least nobody here was eaten by a bored superpredator because we know what LIMTS are, maybe a t rex is cool but SO IS HAVING ALL YOUR BODY PARTS
