I build infrastructure that holds when things fail.

I keep 15+ production Kubernetes clusters running across AWS, GCP, Azure, and air-gapped bare-metal, from control-plane bootstrap to the incidents that page at 3am.

About

I treat infrastructure as engineering, not guesswork. I automate the repetitive work, trace every failure to its root cause, and build things so the same problem never has to be solved twice.

Lately that's been pulling me deeper into observability, past the dashboards and into why systems actually behave the way they do.

April 2025 – Present
  • Automated bare-metal Kubernetes deployment with Ansible and kubeadm, including etcd setup and node tuning.
  • Resolved etcd disk exhaustion and rolled out automated compaction across all clusters to prevent recurrence.
  • Set up HAProxy and Keepalived for bare-metal high availability with virtual IPs, validated failover on Proxmox.
  • Diagnosed a KubeAPIErrorBudgetBurn alert to failing disk hardware via smartctl, then swapped the disk live with near-zero downtime.
  • Built a Kubernetes CronJob to auto-renew API server certificates, preventing authentication failures where managed cert rotation is not available.
  • Migrated production infrastructure from on-premise to AWS EKS, added Karpenter for autoscaling, and performed cost optimization after migration.
  • Built centralized logging on EKS with OpenSearch and Fluent Bit, with separate indexes for cluster, application, and system logs.
  • Configured AlertManager routing to Microsoft Teams with severity based alerts for infrastructure health across every cluster.
  • Built on-device software for a fleet of OpenWrt edge routers, including OTA updates with rollback, scheduled backups, DNS/SSL setup, and health alerting.
